This was a big year for LPS. We were joined by an enthusiastic and talented team of interns, and we matched pre-scientists at two schools that were new to our program (Equitas Academy in LA and Jackson Middle School in Orlando). Of course, we can’t relax too much over the summer! We’re already thinking ahead about the coming school year, and it’s time to start recruiting new team members.
Are you interested in teaming up with LPS as an intern? Are you interested in bringing the LPS to your classroom as a teacher? Then read on!
Applications are now open for both interns and teachers to participate in LPS for the 2016-2017 school year. Prospective interns can get more information here and apply here. Teachers can read more about the program here and then fill out the application here. Our program depends on having a team of dedicated and caring volunteers behind the scenes. There’s a lot of work that goes into making sure scientists and pre-scientists can have fun exchanging letters!
If you know anyone that would be right for these positions, please share this post and send them our way. Applications close on August 5.
